Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about joining Srujana Vidyalaya.

Yes. Srujana Vidyalaya has been affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) since its founding in 1998. We have maintained a 100% CBSE pass rate every year. Our affiliation number is available on all school documents and the official CBSE website.
Yes. All subjects from Grade 1 onwards are taught in English. Telugu is taught as a compulsory second language, and Hindi is introduced from Grade 3. We believe in bilingual confidence — students graduate fluent in English while rooted in Telugu culture.
Scholarship applications are included in the main admissions form. Select "Merit Scholarship" or "Need-Based Grant" when completing your application. For need-based grants, you will need to upload an income certificate issued by a Tahsildar or revenue authority. Merit scholarships are automatically assessed based on submitted academic records.
Required documents include: (1) Completed application form, (2) Birth certificate, (3) Aadhaar card copy of student and parent/guardian, (4) Previous academic report cards (last 2 years), (5) Transfer certificate if transferring from another school, (6) Passport-size photographs (4 copies), (7) Income certificate for scholarship applicants. All documents may be submitted digitally via the admissions portal.
Yes. We operate GPS-tracked school buses covering Rajam town and several surrounding villages. Each bus has a designated attendant. Route maps and fee schedules are shared after enrollment. For students from more distant villages, we coordinate with community groups to arrange shared transport solutions. Contact the admissions office for your specific area.
School hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Primary school (Gr 1-5) ends at 3:30 PM. Second Saturdays are off, and all public holidays as per the AP government school calendar are observed. The academic year runs from June to March with CBSE board exams in February–March for Grade 10.
Currently, Srujana Vidyalaya does not operate its own hostel facility. However, we maintain a list of vetted private hostels and paying-guest accommodations near the school that are popular with students from the 138 villages we serve. The admissions office can share this list on request. We are planning a dedicated hostel wing — families interested in future availability may register their interest.
We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities including: cricket, kabaddi, volleyball and athletics in sports; Bharatanatyam, folk dance, and music in cultural arts; science olympiad, mathematics club, debate and public speaking; and community service projects across our 138 partner villages. Students participate in district-level and state-level science fairs, and we have won multiple competitions since 1998. All activities are free of charge for enrolled students.
